Process For Insulation Manufacturing
The basalt, rocks are graded and crushed to a suitable size, mixed with required percentage Blast Furnace Slag and fluidities/fluxes, melted in a furnace at a temperature of about 1450c. The molten mass is directed to fall on special alloy steel Rotors which are rotating at a very high speed. The molten mass turns into fine fibers due to the centrifugal force acting on the rotor periphery. They are bonded together with a special thermosetting resin and impregnated with special additives. The binder-coated fibers are collected onto a perforated conveyer of the collection chamber. The chemical coated felt is sent to a Baking Oven via a Bridge conveyer. The desired thickness and density are also achieved with the designing feature of the Bake Oven. The product is cut into various shapes and sizes, laminated / stitched with facing materials creating standards and specialist products for a range of applications. It is available in various forms like Loose Wool , Preformed Mattresses, Resin Bonded Slabs , and Pipe Sections conforming to ISO, ASTM, BS, JIS, DIN standards.
